Managing a Global Workforce

Maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace can depend on hiring the best executives, managers, engineers, programmers, scientists, technicians, or other experts in their fields. Often, hiring the best and brightest means hiring foreign nationals—or moving qualified individuals from outside the country to the United States. The complex legal obligations that come into play for these employees and their family members must be addressed quickly, professionally, and completely.

Our employer services include preparing Nonimmigrant (Temporary) Visas, Immigrant (Permanent Resident) Visas (also known as “green cards”), counseling employers in Immigration Policies & Compliance, and assisting in obtaining global visas for employees traveling abroad for business activities.

Nonimmigrant (Temporary) Visas

We prepare and file employment-based (temporary) visas so that foreign national employees are authorized to work for employers in the United States. Trow & Rahal has knowledge of  all employment-based temporary visas. Whether you are a treaty investor, student, trainee, religious worker, or any other type of foreign national employee, we help your employer obtain the proper authorization for work in the United States.

Immigrant (Permanent Resident) Visas

Trow & Rahal has extensive experience in assisting employers in obtaining green cards for employees based upon the PERM application system.  We also assist employers with visa options that allow for filing an immigrant visa petition without having to file a PERM labor certification application. Trow & Rahal works with clients to file green cards under the following categories: extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, multinational executives and managers, national interest waivers, and special immigrants. If one of the previous options cannot be used, only then do we file under the labor certification (PERM) application system.

The attorneys and staff at Trow & Rahal are great on a personal and professional level – and are very responsive! What we like about them is that they have deep expertise. They know their stuff, and they take the time to know us. They know our business as well as we know our business, and they are very creative in coming up with successful situations for our employees.

Immigration Policies & Compliance

Under today’s regulatory and enforcement climate, it is particularly important that a company have immigration related compliance policies in place.  Developing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential in employment compliance.  Trow & Rahal counsels U.S. employers on federal and state laws in these areas, assists in establishing immigration related policies, LCA compliance, and I-9 compliance. We also conduct in-house seminars for clients to offer them a better understanding of the immigration process and policies.

Global Visas

In this growing global economy, U.S. employers often have a need to obtain visas for their employees to work in other countries.  We can help. Trow & Rahal provides clients with support in the area of global immigration. We assist corporate clients in determining appropriate visas, the best way to obtain visas, and our firm partners with vetted co-counsel in many countries.
